Carmen will be Stateside this August;  she's coming home for a while to catch her breath after a busy year in Toronto.  Her teaching schedule was filled with 60 private students at one point in addition to gigging, and continuing her own studies.  We're really looking forward to having her around for a couple of weeks, but it will be an added treat to hear her play again because she is planning some concerts too!

After all her years of undergraduate and graduate work, Carmen has been fortunate to find many friends who are also fellow musicians. This summer she will be performing with long-time friend and violinist, Zachary Peterson.  Being an only child, she's adopted several 'surrogate siblings' along the way, and Zach is certainly one of them.  They earned their undergrad and graduate degrees from the same schools, so they've been 'sibs' for a long time.

It's a much shorter concert series than last summer - (have to save a little time for vacation!)  There are three concerts scheduled - dates, times and locations are posted after the press release for the Spring Green concert which follows below:

Violinists Carmen Lasceski and Zachary Peterson will be playing a recital of violin duos at Unity Chapel on Friday August 16th. Unity Chapel is located at 6596 County Road T in Spring Green. The program will consist of duos by Delphin Alard, Lois Spohr, Charles Auguste de Bériot and Jean-Marie Leclair. Carmen is a native to Reedsburg, Wisconsin and Zachary is a native of Beloit, Wisconsin. Both Zachary and Carmen received Degrees from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and The University of Western Ontario. Carmen currently performs and teaches in Toronto, Ontario and Zachary is working towards a Performance Diploma at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. Although Carmen and Zachary have long been colleagues, this will be their first collaboration, bringing their own individual tastes and experiences together to play chamber music. They both have extensive chamber music experience, and have collectively played in many ensembles. Admission will be a free will donation.
